I have been involved with radios for over 50 years.  My Father ran a radio repair shop after WWII in a small town in the state of  Kentucky.  I would spend all the time I could at the shop fascinated by anything pertaining to radios.  My Father was also an amateur radio operator and from this the bug really bit me.  I recieved my radio license in 1958 and have been an active "ham" radio operator since then.  I perfer c.w. and operation on the 60 meter band.  We began our auction service in 1990 and at this time decided to specialize in the auction of radio and radio related items.  We have conducted auctions for many private collectors, estates, radio and tv service shops as well as consignment auctions.  Our largest sale was for the Henry Ford Museum in October of 1995.
This was a two day event culminating with many record prices for items in the sale.  The highlight being a Marconi 101D for $49,000 which is a record.
This year will be equally exciting as we will be conducting the Estate Auction of Ralph Muchow in Elgin, ILL.  Mr Muchow was world famous for his radio museum in Elgin.  This is the finest collection we have ever had the opportunity to auction.  We plan a 3 day aucton August 3rd thru August 5th, 2001.  A catalog will be ready in mid-May.  Please watch Antique Radio Classified magazine and our web site for future information.
